SheKou 2001 February Reunion

On Feb. 17, 2001, Huo Qiang/Zhang DaWei family and Wu Wen family arrived at SheKou in the afternoon. After checking in the hotel, they met with Bi YaLei family and later joined by Yue Jun family. In two cars, all rushed to Hong Shu Lin (ºìÊ÷ÁÖ) before it was dark. It was a very nice "state park" kind of place between ShenZhen and SheKou. Children were running around, playing with the party stuff saved from the new year. The gentlemen, professor or business men, highly intellectual, tied three ballons along the string of a kite while it was going up. This made the kids really crazy about the kite.
Then when it was dark, all went to the restraunt, where two more families joined in: Liu YiFei and Chen DaoYuan family. We enjoyed AnHui crusine, especially, HeFei Lao Meng Zi (ºÏ·ÊÀÏĸ¼¦) and fried stinky ToFu (Õ¨³ô¶¹¸¯). During the dinner, the manager of the restraunt came over to talk in HeFei accent with us. The children sat at another table, headed by Yue Jun's wife Tan Lin. At the end the kids were running all around the restraunt, attracting sight from everybody in the restraunt. We knew we'd have to go.
After the dinner, everybody came to the hotel. Some played cards "Find a Friend" (ÕÒÅóÓÑ), some watched TV and talked in the living room, some went to the bar (ÅÝ°Í). The children (six of them) were jumping on the king size bed. Only Ray Ray was too excited before hand, that he was sound asleep in his room by that time. There was not much to write about that night, except during the card game, professor Huo suddenly claimed, "How could my score go down if it does not go up?" Everybody looked, and true his score dropped from 7 to 6, and everyone laughed. Chen DaoYuan, who had been actively helping his wife on the game and who was keeping the score, admitted that he was a little drunk. The party was over at around midnight, and the children asked when they could play together again.
